The Local Governments & Federal Relations Department coordinates financial relations between the Ministry of Finance, local governments, and the Federal Government of Somalia.
It supports fiscal decentralization, promotes effective financial management at the local level, and strengthens intergovernmental cooperation, accountability, and transparency in public resource management.
